In this work, an approximate solution for the 1-Dimensional Westervelt equation is found. This is done primarily using a numerical approximation method called Finite Di erence Method. The rst part of this work is to approximate the solution in regions of the domain where the nonlinearities are negligible. The second part of this work is to approximate a solution in regions of the domain where the nonlinearities are non-negligibleen
